Our story
Obtainable AI started from a personal frustration: reading a lot but retaining very little. We tried every notes app on the market and found that most of them optimise for storage, not understanding.
We believed there was a better way — one that uses AI not to summarise content for you, but to help you engage with it more actively. The result was PeerNotes, a self-organising notebook that structures your ideas as you capture them and invites others to challenge your thinking.
Today we continue to build tools rooted in learning science: active recall, elaboration, and the social dimension of understanding.

Explaining an idea to someone else is the fastest path to truly knowing it. Our tools are built around collaboration because learning has always been a social act.

We use AI to remove friction from the learning process, not to do the thinking for you. The goal is always to make your own thinking better.
Small and focused
We believe in doing fewer things better. A small, focused team with a clear mission can out-build and out-think a large unfocused one.
